This workshop is a style of
Classical Realism
Beginning with the properties of light and
shadow, working with basic shapes, Randy and Brian will walk you through the
method of rendering Tromp L’oeil artwork with life-like quality. Moving into
more complex shapes they will show how to model marble and stone carvings to
amaze your peers and patrons alike. The finale will be the masterful
illusion of the architectural breakaway.

An in-depth explanation of achieving foreshortening and
perspective will be followed by each student working toward their own
personal masterpiece. This class is a great portfolio builder and an
enlightening experience.
Recommended study prior to this class is 2 DVDs, “The
Florentine Sweeping Rotunda” and “Marble and Stone from the Gods”. Randy and
Brian believe in the quote from Baldassarre Ladislao, “Preparation is

Instructors:
Randy Ingram is a fine artist and
decorative painter who studied at the duCret School of Fine Arts and
numerous other schools.
Brian Townsend has studied at the
National Academy of Design in New York City and has been an accomplished
gallery artist for 20 years. He is a widely collected and sought after
artist best known for his mastery of both “still life” and portrait
commissions.

They are both “Masters of Classical
Realism” with numerous renowned commissioned works of “museum quality”
completed throughout the United States. Both have been published, televised,
and jointly operate Classical Art Studios in New Jersey.
